Please note that these are not a "Saturn" shape and are not as deep as the "Saturn", therefore, ¾" or 1" pins should be used vs. Dressmaker #17 straight pins that are 1¼" long. Be sure to angle the pins down into the foam so that the pins you choose to use do not go through the foam and into your fingers.
Our foam forms are manufactured from a high-grade EPS (Expanded PolyStyrene) foam and imported by us from the European Union. They are more costly than most other lower quality EPS forms from China and Mexico. However, these forms are made with a higher density than most other forms, as evidenced by the smaller particles that they contain. They have excellent pin-holding capabilities without requiring the use of a thimble, and are much more resilient than most other EPS forms. We believe they are well worth the investment!
