The foam is a pressed using small foam beads under a high pressure and are a little harder than the foam from China and Europe. These forms have been made in the USA.
I recommend using fine #17 Dressmaker SATIN pins that are thinner and sharper. In fact I exclusively use the satin pins for all of my folded fabric ornaments.
If using standard #17 Dressmaker pins, using a thimble or pin pusher is always recommended with foam ornament making and necessary for using with these Made in USA forms.
